Despite a disappointment, a good price for Abraham Janssens II
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Flora by Abraham Janssens II for USD 175,000.00 (€ 143,313.41). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Flora is the most expensive artwork by Abraham Janssens II that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Abraham Janssens II
Im Februar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flora von Abraham Janssens II für USD 175.000,00 (€ 143.313,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Flora das teuerste Kunstwerk von Abraham Janssens II, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
