Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Abolghassem Saïdi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abolghassem Saïdi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 98,770.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Abolghassem Saïdi im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Abolghassem Saïdi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 98.770,85) versteigert wurde.
