In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A winter landscape with ice skaters before the Gate of Saint George, Antwerp by Abel Grimmer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 75,000.00 (€ 83,556.65), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abel Grimmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dix mois de l'année in November last year with an auction result of EUR 1,538,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A winter landscape with ice skaters before the Gate of Saint George, Antwerp von Abel Grimmer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 83.556,65) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abel Grimmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dix mois de l'année im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.538.400,00.
