The »bidding war« ended at EUR 308.00 23% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Abel Faivre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Tireuse De Cartes in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Portrait De Femme von Jules Abel Faivre wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion 18th and 19th Centuries Decorative Arts - Old Master Paintings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 308,00 und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Abel Faivre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Tireuse De Cartes im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
