Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother And Child by Abdul Aziz was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,628.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdul Aziz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Courtship in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 311,345.12).

Die Arbeit Mother And Child von Abdul Aziz wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.628,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdul Aziz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Courtship im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.140.000,00 (€ 311.345,12).
