Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Seated Woman) by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,276.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construction Of The Suez Canal in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,023,750.00 (€ 743,086.30).
