Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Profile of a Man) by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,736.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construction Of The Suez Canal in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,023,750.00 (€ 743,086.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Profile of a Man) von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.736,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construction Of The Suez Canal im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.023.750,00 (€ 743.086,30).
