Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Friend by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 31,800.00 (€ 36,848.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construction Of The Suez Canal in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,023,750.00 (€ 743,086.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Friend von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.800,00 (€ 36.848,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construction Of The Suez Canal im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.023.750,00 (€ 743.086,30).
