Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work On the Shore by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar. The price achieved of GBP 4,096.00 (€ 4,765.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construction Of The Suez Canal in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,023,750.00 (€ 743,086.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Shore von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.096,00 (€ 4.765,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construction Of The Suez Canal im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.023.750,00 (€ 743.086,30).
