Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Abastenia St. Leger Eberle could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work 'Salome (The Dancer)' changed hands for USD 33,460.00 (€ 31,912.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abastenia St. Leger Eberle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Sea Treasures', which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Abastenia St. Leger Eberle konnte im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit 'Salome (The Dancer)' für USD 33.460,00 (€ 31.912,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abastenia St. Leger Eberle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Sea Treasures' beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 144.000,00 (€ 108.589,10) versteigert wurde.
