Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tribal Dancer by Abas Alibasyah was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,417.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Abas Alibasyah have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2016 the work POTRET DIRI was auctioned for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,569.63).
