Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Boy); Untitled (Gentleman) by Abalall Rahiman was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,249.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abalall Rahiman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,433.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Boy); Untitled (Gentleman) von Abalall Rahiman wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.249,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abalall Rahiman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2021 für USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.433,53) versteigert wurde.
