Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chilmark 18 by Aaron Siskind was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,787.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Siskind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Terrors and Pleasures of Levitation in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,007.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chilmark 18 von Aaron Siskind kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.787,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aaron Siskind erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Terrors and Pleasures of Levitation im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.007,98).
