When the work Ohne Titel (BR 21) by A. T. Schaefer was auctioned at VAN HAM in June 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 50.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 298.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by A. T. Schaefer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel (WAL 42), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 1,041.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Ohne Titel (BR 21) von A. T. Schaefer im Juni 2015 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 50,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 298,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von A. T. Schaefer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel (WAL 42) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 1.041,00 versteigert wurde.
