Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work View from the port of Copenhagen with sailing ships changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.37) - just shy of the DKK 3,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Istanbul in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,989.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wechselte die Arbeit View from the port of Copenhagen with sailing ships für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Istanbul im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.989,71).
