In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A chestnut hunter in a paddock; and A dark brown mare by a stable by Alfred Moginie Bryant. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,667.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A chestnut hunter in a paddock; and A dark brown mare by a stable is the most expensive artwork by Alfred Moginie Bryant that we have observed at auctions so far.
