In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Annabel's, which included the work Etoile du Nord by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,279.70), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 42,299.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Annabel's durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etoile du Nord von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.279,70) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 42.299,62) versteigert wurde.
