The perspective on the near and the distant, the microcosm and the macrocosm, looking up to the heights and into the abysses, the controlled and the uncontrollable. Changes in perspective generate changes in consciousness. Lines create boundaries that simultaneously connect spaces. Monochromatic surfaces can either create harmony or disrupt it. It is a play of ambiguity between perceived reality and the possibilities that can continually tip this reality.
The alpine landscape where I grew up and the respect for nature profoundly shape me. Uncertainties for humans are omnipresent here. The changing of seasons, the overall transformation of nature consistently fills me with new enthusiasm and motivation. Likewise, the evolution of society in its technological and sociological dynamics influences me.
It is an attempt to bring together different aspects, to make a reality of in-betweenness into a dimension that shapes the image using the means of painting.
