Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zurab Tsereteli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2019. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work The Artist'S Studio sold for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,729.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zurab Tsereteli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afon'S Dream, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 151,250.00 (€ 170,615.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zurab Tsereteli erzielte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Artist'S Studio für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.729,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zurab Tsereteli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afon'S Dream beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 151.250,00 (€ 170.615,32) versteigert wurde.
