Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zineb Sedira achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in December 2012. In the Art Contemporain auction, the work The Lovers Iii sold for EUR 5,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zineb Sedira - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sugar Routes #1, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,807.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zineb Sedira erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain wurde die Arbeit The Lovers Iii für EUR 5.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zineb Sedira mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sugar Routes #1 beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.807,85) versteigert wurde.
