Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Mecca I (From the Expired Series) by Ziad Antar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,400.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ziad Antar have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work Mosquée De La Mecque (Mosque Of Mecca - From The Expired Series) was auctioned for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,149.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mecca I (From the Expired Series) von Ziad Antar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.400,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ziad Antar konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit Mosquée De La Mecque (Mosque Of Mecca - From The Expired Series) für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.149,37) versteigert.
