A top price for Zhou Mingde - as previously expected
The work THE SEA by Zhou Mingde was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,801.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, THE SEA is the most expensive artwork by Zhou Mingde that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit THE SEA von Zhou Mingde kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.801,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist THE SEA das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhou Mingde, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
