Auction result well in line with expectations
The work But The Ending Is The Same No. 5 by Zhou Jinhua was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,812.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhou Jinhua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Golden Age No. 2, which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,852.44).

Die Arbeit But The Ending Is The Same No. 5 von Zhou Jinhua wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.812,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhou Jinhua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Golden Age No. 2 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.852,44) versteigert wurde.
