Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Figures In Landscape by Zhou Hao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 57,500.00 (€ 5,456.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhou Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo in the Wind in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 47,103.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures In Landscape von Zhou Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 57.500,00 (€ 5.456,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo in the Wind im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 47.103,50).
