Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Autumn Forest And Distant Mountain by Zheng Min was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2014, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 569,000.00 (€ 413,007.19). Admittedly, works by Zheng Min have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eight Views Of Huangshan in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 2,322,500.00 (€ 1,741,787.91).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Autumn Forest And Distant Mountain von Zheng Min im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 120.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 569.000,00 (€ 413.007,19) mehr als viermal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Min auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eight Views Of Huangshan im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.322.500,00 (€ 1.741.787,91).
