This artwork by Zhao Shuru achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Horses by a River sold for USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,344.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhao Shuru have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes At Sunrise in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 53,485.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Shuru erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Horses by a River für USD 11.475,00 (€ 10.344,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Shuru auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes At Sunrise im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 53.485,70).
