The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 48,000.00 (€ 6,157.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zhang Wanqing have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2018 the work LONELY HILLS was auctioned for CNY 72,000.00 (€ 9,020.13).
