In September this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II, which included the work Birds, 1944 by Zhang Shuqi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,160.00 (€ 11,489.04), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Shuqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Doves and Flowers in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 587,520.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds, 1944 von Zhang Shuqi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.160,00 (€ 11.489,04) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Shuqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Doves and Flowers im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 587.520,17).
