Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bees and Blossoms by Zhang Shuqi was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,290.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Shuqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Doves and Flowers in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 587,520.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bees and Blossoms von Zhang Shuqi kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.290,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Shuqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Doves and Flowers im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 587.520,17).
