Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Shizhao achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Family Correspondence sold for HKD 105,600.00 (€ 11,746.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Shizhao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October this year with an auction result of HKD 936,000.00 (€ 113,191.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Shizhao erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Family Correspondence für HKD 105.600,00 (€ 11.746,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Shizhao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 936.000,00 (€ 113.191,52).
