Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plum Blossoms by Zhang Ling was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 150,000.00 (€ 129,065.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Ling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scholar Gazing At Farmlands From A Pavilion, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 615,000.00 (€ 499,188.31).

Die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Zhang Ling wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 129.065,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scholar Gazing At Farmlands From A Pavilion beobachtet, die im März 2018 für USD 615.000,00 (€ 499.188,31) versteigert wurde.
