Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Travelers Along the River by Zhang Jing was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,224.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zhang Jing have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2019 the work Landscapes was auctioned for HKD 37,760.00 (€ 4,284.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Travelers Along the River von Zhang Jing wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.224,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Zhang Jing konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2019 die Arbeit Landscapes für HKD 37.760,00 (€ 4.284,49) versteigert.
