Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Daofan was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 9,200.00 (€ 873.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Daofan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five Character Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 25,960.00 (€ 2,964.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Daofan wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.200,00 (€ 873,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Daofan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five Character Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 25.960,00 (€ 2.964,28) versteigert wurde.
