Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zenzaburo Kojima achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session auction, the work Roses sold for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 92,494.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zenzaburo Kojima - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Background (Nude), which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 2,142,000.00 (€ 256,742.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zenzaburo Kojima erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Roses für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 92.494,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zenzaburo Kojima mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Background (Nude) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 2.142.000,00 (€ 256.742,44) versteigert wurde.
