Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zdenék Sklenár achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective auction, the work Cityscape sold for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,733.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zdenék Sklenár achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picture on the Palette in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,700.00 (€ 48,284.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Zdenék Sklenár erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective wurde die Arbeit Cityscape für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.733,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zdenék Sklenár erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picture on the Palette im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 48.284,08).
