Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Zarina was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,391.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zarina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tasbih (Gold) in March last year with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 329,396.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zarina wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.391,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zarina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tasbih (Gold) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.400,00 (€ 329.396,92).
