Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Sibonelo by Zanele Muholi for GBP 6,985.00 (€ 8,149.38). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Zanele Muholi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alakhe in December last year with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,827.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sibonelo von Zanele Muholi für GBP 6.985,00 (€ 8.149,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zanele Muholi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alakhe im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.827,68).
