Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ngizwile, 2021 (Unframed) by Zanele Muholi was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,575.00 (€ 18,857.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zanele Muholi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alakhe, which sold at auction in December last year for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,827.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ngizwile, 2021 (Unframed) von Zanele Muholi kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.575,00 (€ 18.857,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Zanele Muholi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alakhe beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.827,68) versteigert wurde.
