Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yvonne McKague Housser could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Spring In The Studio changed hands for CAD 6,600.00 (€ 5,108.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yvonne McKague Housser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moraine Lake, Rocky Mountains, which sold at auction in December 2009 for CAD 16,800.00 (€ 11,205.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yvonne McKague Housser konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Spring In The Studio für CAD 6.600,00 (€ 5.108,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yvonne McKague Housser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moraine Lake, Rocky Mountains beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für CAD 16.800,00 (€ 11.205,08) versteigert wurde.
