When the work Sans Titre by Yuri Kuper was auctioned at Christies in Paris in January 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 600.00 but the actual price achieved was more than nine times as high at EUR 5,500.00. Admittedly, works by Yuri Kuper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,877.21).
Kunstwerk zum Neunfachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Sans Titre von Yuri Kuper im Januar 2013 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 600,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 5.500,00 mehr als neunmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuri Kuper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.877,21).
