Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julius Sergius von Klever could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work The Potato Gatherers changed hands for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 26,743.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julius Sergius von Klever have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winterlandschaft. in September 2007 with an auction result of CHF 264,000.00 (€ 159,060.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julius Sergius von Klever konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit The Potato Gatherers für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 26.743,11) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julius Sergius von Klever auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winterlandschaft. im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 264.000,00 (€ 159.060,97).
