Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Boating by Yuan Shangtong was worth HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,092.34) to a buyer in October 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Yuan Shangtong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,550.60).
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Boating von Yuan Shangtong war einem Käufer im Oktober 2019 HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.092,34) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Shangtong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.550,60).
