A top price for Yuan Lizhun - as previously expected
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script by Yuan Lizhun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,602.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script is the most expensive artwork by Yuan Lizhun that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script von Yuan Lizhun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.602,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yuan Lizhun, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
