Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red Babies Series No. 1 by Yu Chen was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,333.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Chen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mao & Girl (Set Of Two), which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 427,500.00 (€ 35,231.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Red Babies Series No. 1 von Yu Chen wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.333,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Chen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mao & Girl (Set Of Two) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 427.500,00 (€ 35.231,40) versteigert wurde.
