This price was achieved in the auction The Greek Sale at Bonhams in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yiannis Tsarouchis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La garde oubliée sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of EUR 441,375.00.
