The work Red Coloured Pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama was worth HKD 475,000.00 (€ 55,091.21) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).

Die Arbeit Red Coloured Pumpkin von Yayoi Kusama war einem Käufer im November 2019 HKD 475.000,00 (€ 55.091,21) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
