Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hong Kong Island under the Victoria Peak, 1960s by Yau Leung was sold in the Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,974.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yau Leung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Women (Gloucester Road), which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hong Kong Island under the Victoria Peak, 1960s von Yau Leung wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.974,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yau Leung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Women (Gloucester Road) beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43) versteigert wurde.
