This artwork by Yashwant Deshmukh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2007. In the The Indian Sale auction, the work 'Old Book' sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,829.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. This high result makes 'Old Book' the most expensive artwork by Yashwant Deshmukh that we have observed at auctions so far.
