A top price for Yao Xie
This artwork by Yao Xie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Plum Tree sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,965.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. This high result makes Plum Tree the most expensive artwork by Yao Xie that we have observed at auctions so far.
