It achieved a price of EUR 12,112.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73 %. Admittedly, works by Yiannis Gaitis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Tourists At Cape Sounion in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 118,321.86).

Die Arbeit Sans titre von Yiannis Gaitis kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.112,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yiannis Gaitis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Tourists At Cape Sounion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 118.321,86).
